A board member raised environmental concerns about the property being rezoned at High House and Davis Drive — a signal the board is watching how development there treats trees and natural features.
Beer Box Cary outdoor seating near Carpenter Village townhomes

Streetscape buffer reductions near residential-adjacent industrial properties
The board approved eliminating the Bowden Street streetscape buffer and cutting the Field Street buffer, trading landscaped buffering for an urban, building-to-sidewalk downtown design. Neighbors argue the buffers protect them from noise, headlights, and deliveries.
